Five clearances in win Friday
Ream generated five clearances and two interceptions in Friday's 2-0 victory over Australia.
Analysis: Ream had to deal with the physical demands of the Socceroos' frontline, but he did well and helped the USMNT keep a clean sheet for the first time in the current World Cup campaign. Analysis: Ream would start in the defense and captain the USMNT as expected in the opener, playing the full 90. He would have a decent game in the back despite no clean sheet, highlighted by a yellow card that was overturned and given to Miguel Almiron of Paraguay instead for diving. Ream remains the veteran presence on the team moving forward, hopefully being able to keep his legs for the whole group stage.
